Tawau Golf Club – Hot Springs
This beautiful 345-acre piece of rainforest land was given to Tawau Golf Club in 1982 by Datuk Harris Mohd Salleh, who is the Chief Minister of Sabah. Building the par-72 Hot Spring Golf Course was embarked on the club's own in-house design by a group of dedicated committee members with support, contributions and donations made by the club members, totaling RM1.8 million.
Offering a 27-hole championship golf course, comprising the original 9-hole layout situated near the city's downtown and a dramatic, mountainous 18-hole layout, this club has much to be proud of. The first nine holes were started in January 1996 and completed in May 1999. The second nine was completed in July 2001.
